A porch is the bit of the house everyone stands in front of, so it either looks like it was always there or it does not.
We build brick porches and storm porches from the footings up. The trick is proportion and detail rather than size: getting the brick and mortar to match the house, keeping the courses lining through with the existing openings, and turning arches and reveals so they look deliberate.
The work runs from the footing and damp proof course through to the brickwork, the opening and the roof structure, coordinating with a roofer and a joiner where the job needs them.
What you end up with. A front door you can stand at in the rain, on something that looks original to the house.

Tom did an exceptional job repairing and repointing the brickwork and window, over our bay window and arched storm porch.
